GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS for RHOCo Competitions

1. THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.1 These terms and conditions (the "General Terms") apply to all prize competitions, giveaways, and draws ("Competitions") promoted by Rosemary Hair Oil Co. (RHOCo) via our website, social media, email, or other platforms.

1.2 Competitions may also have Specific Terms, which will be made available on the relevant competition page or platform. These Specific Terms apply in addition to these General Terms.

1.3 In case of conflict between these General Terms and any Specific Terms, the Specific Terms will take priority.

1.4 RHOCo reserves the right to update or amend these General Terms at any time. Please check back regularly for updates.

1.5 By entering any Competition, you agree to be legally bound by these General Terms and any applicable Specific Terms.

3. WHO CAN ENTER?

3.1 Unless otherwise stated, Competitions are open to UK residents aged 18 and over.

3.2 Some Competitions may allow entries from children (under 16) or teens (16–17), as detailed in the Specific Terms. Parental/guardian consent may be required.

3.3 Some prizes (e.g. travel-related) may have additional eligibility requirements such as valid passports or physical health—these will be outlined in the Specific Terms.

3.4 We reserve the right to verify eligibility and request proof of age, ID, or residency before awarding a prize.

3.5 Employees of RHOCo and their immediate family members, as well as employees of any third-party partners or prize suppliers, are not eligible to enter.

4. HOW TO ENTER

4.1 Online Competitions / Giveaways

Most of our Competitions are free and easy to enter. You'll be asked to provide your name, email address, and sometimes answer a simple question. One entry per person per day unless otherwise stated.

4.2 Social Media-Based Competitions

You may be asked to follow, like, comment, tag, or share content as a method of entry. You must meet the stated requirements during the entry period for your entry to be valid.

4.3 Postal Entries

If postal entry is allowed (as per the Specific Terms), send your full name and contact details by post to the address provided. Only one entry per envelope. No personal deliveries accepted.

4.4 Disqualified Entries

We reserve the right to disqualify entries that are:

  • Incomplete, unclear, or submitted in error
  • Offensive or inappropriate
  • Made via automated means or bots
  • Bulk entries or entries made on behalf of others

4.5 Fair Play

  • Entrants may not use multiple identities or fake accounts to enter more than once.
  • Anyone acting in a manner contrary to the spirit of the competition may be disqualified.
  • We reserve the right to cap prize wins (e.g., no more than one prize worth £500+ in a 6-month period).

5. PRIZES

5.1 Prizes are not transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered unless explicitly stated.

5.2 Winners will be contacted within 28 days of the competition closing, via email or social media message.

5.3 If a winner does not respond within 5 days, RHOCo may choose another winner.

5.4 Prizes are delivered to UK addresses only. We are not responsible for delays, damage, or loss once shipped.

5.5 Proof of ID and address may be required to claim a prize.

5.6 RHOCo reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equal or greater value if necessary.

5.7 Prizes are awarded as described—any associated costs (e.g. travel, taxes) are the responsibility of the winner unless otherwise specified.

6. PUBLICITY AND DATA

6.1 By entering, you agree that RHOCo may use your name, city/town, and likeness for promotional purposes (including social media), unless you request to remain anonymous.

6.2 Your personal information will be used only in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6.3 If the Competition involves a video, image, or written submission:

  • You must own or have permission to use the content.
  • You grant RHOCo the right to use, share, edit, and publish it for promotional purposes.

7. LIABILITY AND FAIRNESS

7.1 RHOCo is not liable for any issues with entries caused by technical errors, server issues, or third-party platforms.

7.2 We reserve the right to cancel, amend, or suspend a Competition due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. technical issues, fraud, weather, legal changes).

7.3 RHOCo is not responsible for third-party prize providers or their terms of service.

7.4 We will not be liable for any loss, injury, or disappointment from participating or receiving a prize—except in the case of negligence causing personal injury or death.

8. FINAL NOTES

8.1 Our decisions in all matters relating to Competitions are final.

8.2 Competitions and these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
